OUR STORY
The project's founding concept is reflected in its name: finding beauty and value in neglected and forgotten things

What is Forgotten is the result of Fernanda Pellegrino's research and passion for sustainable fashion. From her earliest projects, Fernanda has been attracted by the issues of sustainability and the valorisation of forgotten materials.
The project stems from the vision of transforming what is considered 'forgotten' into something valuable and meaningful, using discarded materials and textile manipulation techniques to create unique and distinctive fashion. What is Forgotten strives to be a positive force in the fashion industry, promoting sustainability and innovation in every aspect of its work. The aim is to inspire and engage a new generation of consumers, offering creative and responsible solutions that respond to the challenges of our time.
At What is Forgotten, we embrace zero-waste methodology as an integral part of our approach to sustainable fashion and innovation. We implement this methodology from the outset of the creative process, ensuring that we go beyond reusing production waste.
OUR METHODOLOGY
Thank you so much for joining us on our exciting journey towards more sustainable and conscious fashion.
The synergetic collaboration between idea, design and pattern-making allows us to optimise the use of materials and find a useful destination for placement waste from the outset. We use strategic patterns and advanced techniques to coordinate cutting of both the garment and scraps, ensuring each piece of fabric has a useful purpose and contributes to the creation process, minimising waste. This allows us to produce unique, high quality garments while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
